Our son just turned one year old a few days ago and it got me thinking just how fleeting time is. How is it possible that a whole year has passed since our beautiful baby boy was born and turned our world around?

How many times over the years have I said to myself, “I’d love to do… one day”, but then just let the time slide by without putting my plans and wishes into action.

I’ve always liked the idea of having a bucket list but have decided that a bucket list of things to do before I die, doesn’t give me enough structure. I can easily put things off in the assumption that I have years and years left to achieve what’s on my list.

Giving myself a deadline helps the procrastinator in me to focus. And so was born my 40 before 40 list.

I will share my 40 things to do on this blog as well as explain why each of these items are on the list. There will also be random posts of what my feelings are on recent news, life events, likes and dislikes and other adventures along the way.

One of things on my list is to create a blog and keep at least 10 followers, so hopefully a few of you will stick around to listen to my ramblings and come along for the journey.
