Use it up, wear it out,

Make it do, or do without

Today we live in a world where we have to have the latest gadget or fastest/best this or that. “My phone is perfectly fine but I must get the lastest blah de blah blah blah…”

I at times can be guilty of this attitude and behaviour, but most of the time, I tend to wear something or use something until it is on it’s last legs (my boots post from the other day for example).

Today’s photo is of two hairdressing clips that are approx 37 years old. They were my mum’s from when she was at hairdressing college. At one time, there was a whole bag of clips, but now these two and one other that is currently hiding on me, are all that’s left.
They are a perfect size for me and the best clips I’ve ever used, so why would I replace them? As you can see they’ve seen better days and I don’t think they’ll quite make their 40th Birthday, but for now they’re fine and all I need.
