Today, I checked off another item on my list, but not as successfully as I had hoped.
I organised a charity sale at work for a local Dementia and Mental Health Charity, Befrienders Highland. They work to try and help people with mental health issues who are lonely and feel isolated. They also give support to carers for people with dementia who may be struggling.
Unfortunately, not many people were in the office today for the sale and so we didn’t raise as much as I had hoped to.
The home baking sold well, but the rest… not so much!
I’ve helped organise many successful charity sales at work, but unfortunately, and ironically, my head was just not in the right place to focus and put energy into this one.
We raised £118 in total, which while being lower than I would have liked, is still a little to help the charity with their funds.
